{"id":369,"date":"2021-03-05T23:06:52","date_gmt":"2021-03-05T22:06:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dgbyair.mdcr.cz\/?page_id=369"},"modified":"2025-10-23T16:16:22","modified_gmt":"2025-10-23T14:16:22","slug":"rules-for-dangerous-goods-transport","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/dgbyair.cz\/en\/rules-for-dangerous-goods-transport\/","title":{"rendered":"Rules for Dangerous Goods Transport"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">There are several groups of dangerous goods<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>dangerous goods than cannot be carried by air freight under any circumstances<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>dangerous goods forbidden under normal circumstances but which may be carried with specific approvals from the States concerned<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>dangerous goods restricted to be carried only on all-cargo aircraft (CAO)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>dangerous goods which can be carried on both passenger and all-cargo aircraft, subject to meeting the required conditions stated in ICAO Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air (ICAO Doc 9284)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are dangerous goods?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p>Dangerous goods are articles or substances which are capable of posing a risk to health, safety, property or the environment and which are shown in the list of dangerous goods in ICAO Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air (ICAO Doc 9284), or which are classified according to these Instructions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cargo containing dangerous goods is subject to national and international regulation. Such cargo has to be properly declared and clearly identified as containing dangerous goods. --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 300\/221;\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong>How do the ground handling labels look like?<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How else can I find if the goods are dangerous?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Look for a diamond-shaped hazard label on the packaging.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you cannot see a label then look for a UN number. This will be the letter \u201cUN\u201d followed by four numeral digits &#8211; such as UN 2844 or UN 1748.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Look for if a hazard class is written on the packaging &#8211; it will be something like &#8220;Class 8&#8221; or &#8220;Corrosive&#8221;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you think the article might be dangerous but you cannot find any of described indicators, look for a material safety data sheet (MSDS) on the internet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is also possible to search online by typing in the manufacturer of your product, then the letters \u201cMSDS\u201d, and then the product name.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you have the MSDS, look for the entries \u201cUNxxxx\u201d, hazard class and transport information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can also contact the manufacturer or distributor using the customer information phone number which can be found on most household products.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your airline or freight forwarder can also answer your dangerous goods queries.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are several groups of dangerous goods What are dangerous goods?
